On Saturday I made my regular trip to Brands Hatch to watch the British Truck Racing Championship. Most Saturday's I go to my two nearest race tracks Brands Hatch or Lydden Hill. I tend to go to Brands Hatch more often as its nearer, but if there's a rallycross event on I will go to Lydden Hill.
This was the first time I had ever been to a truck racing event so I was looking forward to it, and I wasn't disapointed, the trucks love to get sideways through the corners and are great fun to watch. On the day they also had the British Pickup Truck racing championship, Junior Saloon Car Championship and the Legends Series. Of the three the Legends were my favourite as they were all really competative and were often 3 or 4 wide! Overall, at just £16 it was a great day out, especially considering that all the championships that weekend had at least 1 race on the Saturday, which is unusual for one of the major events at Brands Hatch. If your interested in going to see the British Truck Racing Series, there arn't any more races this season, but you can find out more information here about next years calender: http://btra.co.uk/
